Hello, I’m Simon
In my time as a therapist I have helped my clients gain understanding of loss, bereavement, anger, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and relationships.
As a fully qualified therapist and accredited member of the BACP I adhere to the BACP’s ethical framework in all my work.
I practise an Integrative model, meaning I utilise and integrate a variety of therapy styles, to give you the best support, tailored to your needs. My model includes -
Existential Therapy
Exploring freedom, choice, existence, meaning, death and isolation.
Helpful for those wishing to explore their life and live more authentically and discover meaning and purpose in life.
Psychodynamic
Exploring early life experiences and examining how they affect current behaviour and relationships, often unconsciously.
Helpful for those wishing to explore their past and understand how it effects the present. Ever wondered why you react in certain ways to particular situations or people? This approach can help you discover why this might be.
Person Centred Therapy
Exploring the present to help discover the conditions for growth and fulfilment by helping to identify your own individual experiences and needs.
Helpful for self development and living a fuller, more engaged life.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Working with irrational thoughts and behaviours that may trigger them.
I utilise a range of CBT techniques and tools to address current issues and methods to help with them.
Mindfulness
A form of mediation to help ground you and be in the moment.
Helpful for working with automatic and intrusive thoughts and busy minds.
